Muriel, Ken, Gord, Andrew and family,
Our sincerest condolences to the family, our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
We are very sorry we missed the memorial; I was out of town on training. I’m sure it was a beautiful tribute to your father. Your Dad was very lucky to have you in his life. Remember the wonderful memories and keep them close to your heart; that will help you through this difficult time.
Hugs,
Craig, Lillian, Anna, David and Corey
I didn’t know Rod but had the pleasure of seeing the results of his hard work in his daughter Muriel and grandson Gord. Both of very strong minded, confident and a pleasure to be with, their wit and humour is, I’m sure, a result of Rod’s influences from the stories I’ve heard from Murial about her father. He seemed like a man with a wicked sence of humour, who knew his mind and what he wanted. I’m sorry I never had the chance to meet him. He will surely carry on in his children, grandchildren and gread grandchildren. I know he will be missed and wish the family well.
My thoughts are with you.
Maureen
You will be remembered Rod. I loved your dry sense of humour. I also have fond memories your visits to Milton during the Steam Era shows.
My thoughts & prayers are with all of Rods family at this time. May all of you cherish all your memories & keep them close to your heart. May Rod rest in peace.
Deepest sympathies to the family. May he rest in peace and forever watch over you.
My sincerest condolences to the family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I will always rememebr our garrage days 😉 XOXOX
Hi Everyone,
The above picture was taken very recently at the Cooksville Care Center, the nursing home, where he and Mom resided in the same room. Notice he is standing in front of his large TV. He said it took up his half of the shelf in the room and he wanted to make sure he didn’t over step the existing resident(Mom) when he took up residency at Cooksville Care Centre. The TV was set to his favorite channel History station, Price is Right for Mom and the Young and the Restless for us all.
Dad says he didn’t watch soaps but made sure that it was on the channel when Ivy and I visited at night. After all the years the show ran, he still had some interesting comments on “Victor Newman”, (LOL)In the background are also his most cherished pictures of him and his sweetheart of 68 years.
You will be missed immensely by everyone close to you and thought of often by the entire family and circle of friends. Miss you!!
Love Muriel XXXXXXOOOOO
Sincere condolences to all the family. He will be missed by all.
