Pre-planning Your Cremation

Just like having a traditional burial, a cremation can also be planned in advance. At one time or another, you may have had witnessed the agony of immediate family or close friends going through the motions of making funeral-related decisions while gripped with sorrow at having lost a loved one. Whether you wish not to subject your family to such a scenario or you would like to take control of these matters or pay up the costs in advance, then a preened plan is what you need.

To do this, you will have to sit down with a funeral director and put out all your concerns on the table. Cover as many details as you wish such as arranging for the viewing days, crunching the numbers for the cremation costs, picking out your urn, and whatever else you need. Funeral directors are mandated by law to not withhold from you the list of services they offer and their prices so feel free to ask. If you are getting on in years, it may be wise to bring along an adult child or a trusted friend so they can also bring up the things that you may have missed out.
