February 7, 1941 – July 13, 2024

A Great Man and a Life Well Lived
Surrounded by family, Nicholas (Nick) Joseph Bibby passed away peacefully at the Brantford
General Hospital on July 13 th , 2024.
He was a selfless, loving dad to Kelly (Anthony), GB to Nicole (Samson) and Emma, brother to
Eleanor (Neil) Donna and uncle to Sally, John, JoeAnne and Mark.
He spent time in the Air Force in the 60’s where his met his long-time friend and brother Joe
Stone. He subsequently started his career in the 1970’s as a Journeyman with the Paris Hydro
(PUC), where he spent over 30 years working and even continued working by opening his own
business with his friend Paul Barber after his retirement. He also served as a volunteer
firefighter on the Paris Fire Department for many years.
A popular guy around town, he loved his family and friends and all who knew him loved him
back. He had a great sense of humour and was the life of the party. He would always put others
before himself and was willing to lend a helping hand whenever he could.
When he wasn’t working or spending time with family, he would always have projects on the go,
from digging a basement in his house to make a room for his daughter Kelly, renovating and
fixing up houses to building a home of his own. An avid golfer, he could also always be found
on the golf course playing a round, getting together with friends around town or heading out with
his friend Al Francis for an afternoon road trip.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 18 th , 2024, at the Paris Legion from 5-7:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Society on his behalf.

To Kelly and family, Nick was a cousin who we loved. His father Joe and mother Stella were my aunt and uncle. He was a wonderful person with a great sense of humour. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I only learned about his passing today. I remember such great memories of him.
