KRETCHMAN, Lucinda
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lucinda Wilkinson Kretchman (nee Fox), 94, on November 20th, 2024 in Mississauga after a long and fulfilling life.
Lucinda was born in Toronto to Alice (nee White) and John Fox on April 28, 1930, as the youngest of 5 children, and was married to Erwin Kretchman in 1951.
Lucinda and Erwin made their home in Etobicoke, where they raised their family. Lucinda is predeceased by Erwin, her siblings and her eldest son, Thomas. She is survived by son Kenneth Kretchman and daughter Suzanne Andracchio (nee Kretchman); daughter-in-law Nicole and son-in-law Julio; grandchildren Melissa, Julian and Sabrina; step granddaughter Deanna McCaw; in-laws Ron and Marleene Kretchman, Anne Kretchman, and too many to name loving nieces and nephews.
Lucinda was a wonderful woman who brought joy to everyone she interacted with. Before retirement, she worked in the traffic department with the Ministry of Transportation. She loved learning and, in addition to her main role as a traffic analyst for the highways in Ontario, she participated in job-share programs that allowed her to be a metric instructor for government offices as well as a driver examiner. When she was not entertaining family and friends, as she loved to do, Lucinda could be found at a Bridge, Euchre, Poker or Bingo game.
Many thanks to the staff and caregivers at Streetsville Care Community. The family appreciates the personal attention and care provided for Lucinda in the final years of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Alzheimer Society.
