Larry Blakeley

June 15, 1942 – November 5, 2024

 

Larry Blakeley formerly of Paris, in his 83rd year, passed away suddenly at St. Joseph’s Long Term Care Centre in Brantford, on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024.

Larry is predeceased by his wife, Michele “Micki” Blakeley (nee MacCormack). Loving Father of Chris Kovacs, Craig Blakeley (Heather), Cindy Oulton and Nicole Legacy (James); cherished Grandfather of Tara Oulton, Lauren Christie, Courtney Lee, Christian Kovacs, Alyssa Mashinter, Chelsey Kushneryk, Franklin Blakeley, Victoria Blakeley, Claire and Natalie Legacy. Proud Papa to 12 Great -Grandchildren. Predeceased by his Father Frederick Blakeley, Mother Ethel Blakeley (McCarthy) and Sister Carol Haney (Blakeley).

Larry was an accomplished member of UA Local 67 for over 60 years. Larry’s fondest memories were working out West in Fort McMurray, Alberta as a pipefitter.

Larry took pride in family outings; whether it was summers spent camping, or a quick trip over the border for some wings. Larry enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes, often creating a mess in the kitchen. All who truly knew Larry, knew the way to his heart was a sweet treat.

A very special thank you to all the staff at St. Joe’s who took exceptional care of Larry; always going above and beyond for him. He was well-loved by his favourite ladies, who’s friendships he cherished deeply.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Rivers Edge at the Arlington, 97 Grand River Street N (William St. side door), Paris, Ontario, on Sunday December 8th, 2024, from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

Donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Life Care Centre Long-Term Care in Larry’s memory.

    Oh Larry I’m gonna miss u. We had alot of laughs and some sad days. But u knew u were loved. My heart goes out to you Chris and Lauren. It was a pleasure taking care of Larry.. big hugs to u all.
