June 19, 1964 – November 21, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Slawomir (Slavek) Suszek. Slavek passed peacefully surrounded by his family in Mississauga on Thursday November 21, 2024.

Loving husband to Beata. Dear father to Olga (Mateusz) and Agatha. Proud grandfather to Klara and Kacper.

A visitation will be held at the Magnolia Chapel of St. John’s Dixie Cemetery (737 Dundas St. E. at Cawthra, Mississauga) on Monday November 25th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. with rosary prayers occuring at 8:15 p.m. The visitation will be livestreamed for those unable to attend, which you will be able to access through this link: Link to Visitation

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday November 26th at 11 a.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish (4260 Cawthra Road, Mississauga). The mass will be livestreamed for those unable to attend, which can be accessed through this link: Link to Funeral Mass. 

Slavek will be laid to rest at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery at a later time.

    My sincere condolences to Slavek’s family. Slavek has been a remarkable leader and mentor. He was more than just a boss. He had a listening ear, and a kind heart. He led with integrity, empathy, humility and wisdom. Learned so much from him. May his soul rest in eternal peace. He will be missed.

Slavek played such a vital leadership role in supporting our work with newcomers, always ensuring we had the resources and guidance we needed to succeed. Slavek truly made a difference behind the scenes, and his impact will not be forgotten in our Slavic community and many communities he helped.
