Richards, Margaret Irma

It is with deepest sadness that I announce the passing of my mother, Margaret Irma Richards, in her 85th year on May 3, 2020 at Brantford General Hospital.  Daughter of Fredrick Burgert and Mimi Kosalinen, beloved wife to the late James Ernest Richards, loving mother to myself, Carol Richards and cherished Grandmother to Trevor James Lotton. She worked in the insurance business until retirement when my parents decided to move our to Paris, Ontario to be closer to the family. My mom and dad had a marriage that spanned 60 years and were the best parents anyone could ask for, always providing myself and Trevor with encouragement and support. As a family we enjoyed outdoor activities together and shared a love of the north country where our roots run deep. My mom was a warm and giving person who will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Today is an aniversary – my cousin Margaret Irma passed away 1 year before. I don´t know, why I so often think of her, I didn´t know her personally only from photos and the story, my uncle Fred/Fritz told us and there were really very impressive stories. I wish her the grace of our Lord, she may rest in peace!

Dear Mrs Richards, I am very sorry for your loss and it means also sadness for me because your mother Margaret Irma Richards daugther of Fredrick (Fritz) Burgert born in Germany, was my cousin. I am glad, that you describe your mother a warm and giving person, in the picture she looks similar to two aunts of mine. Years ago I tried to find her adress in Toronto, the old adress I knew from my uncle´s letters, but I was not successful. In January I sent an email as well as a letter and 2 fotos from your mother´s marriage to transquilitycremation asking for an arrangemenst but I did not receive an answer yet. I would be very glad, if you will connect me but I respect your decision, if you do not want a connection. Nevertheless I look forward to your answer. Sorry for my English, its my school-English 60 years ago. Sincerely Yours Doris
