Affleck, Paulette (nee Larcher)

At the age of 77, Paulette Affleck passed away at Brantford General
Hospital on Wednesday, December 21 st , the first day of winter. It seems fitting that a person who had
such little patience for cold weather would make this final transition just as the seasons are
transitioning.
More than anything, Paulette loved her family. Her devotion to her husband, children, and
grandchildren, as well as her commitment to the service of others were unconditional and truly limitless.
She did small things with great love, and everyone who knew her knew that love. She was sustained by
her faith and was an active and enthusiastic member of her church communities.
Born and raised in Timmins, but at one time or another a citizen of practically every small town in
Northern Ontario, Paulette and her husband eventually settled in Sault Ste Marie, where they raised
their family. More recently, they relocated to Brantford to be closer to their grandchildren, whom
Paulette loved so much.
Loving wife of 53 years to Lansing (Lance) Affleck; devoted mother and loyal confidante to Sarah
(Matthew Hern) and Adam; beloved grandma of Alexander, Peter, and Leah; and precious daughter of
the late Paul and Florence Larcher. Paulette will be missed by her brother Laurier (Julie) Larcher and
countless other family and friends. We take comfort knowing that she now rests in the arms of her
Savior.
A memorial service will be held at a later date (please contact her daughter Sarah for updates –
[email protected]). In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Paulette’s name to
the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

I send my sincere condolences during this time of sorrow. The Bible gives a comforting hope that your loved one will soon live again in a peaceful paradise on the earth where death will be no more. (John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15)
