LANCASTER, Ronald David
It is with much sorrow and tears of sadness that we announce the sudden death of Ron. Peacefully he passed away on March 26, 2013. Beloved son of Bev and the late Ron. Dear brother of Lana Mueller (Larry) and Bob. Outstanding dad to Brittany and Brie-Anne. Cherished uncle to Marc and Lexi. Fondly remembered by his many aunts, uncles and cousins. Ron will be missed by his friends and football family. Although taken from us too early, he reached so many as a high school teacher and coach in minor football right up to CFL. Cremation along with a private service has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Sir Allan McNab Football Program (145 Magnolia Drive Hamilton,ON. L9C 5P4)
So sorry to hear about RD’s passing. One of the kindest people I have ever met. He had a smile that could light up a room. My condolences to the family.
So sorry to hear that Ronnie David left so young. Many great football and “social” memories.

Ron Lancaster Jr. was a great coach and a leader, mentor and friend to our son – his QB at Sir Alan MacNab. We are all very saddened to learn of his passing – he was so special. Truly a loss for SAM and the Hamilton football community, as well as our family and especially Chuck. Our deepest condolences to his family and his daughters.
Ronnie was my coach at McMaster in 1985 and 1986. He was the quarterback coach and I was the QB. I loved working with him. He was such a great guy and knew so much about football. He made me a better player. We had some really good times together. My deepest sympathies to the family.
Bob
Sorry to hear of your brother Ron’s passing. My condolences to your whole family. Some good memories of the Acadia days when you both were there.
I remember great times years ago when your family first moved to Ancaster. Great Memories! While I didn’t get to know Ronnie well in the Ancaster years, during his time with the Ti-Cats I had the opportunity to share some time and memories with him. I was sad when Ron Sr. passed, but didn’t reach out. My heart goes out again now and I hope that he, and you will all find peace. My deepest condolences.
My condolences to Ron’s family. Having taught beside Ron in a Special Ed. Phys.Ed. class, I know the students absolutely adored him. Thanks for the memories at Sir Allan MacNab and R.I.P.
I had the pleasure to work with Ron for my first year as an Educational Assistant at Sir Allan MacNab Secondary School….what a kind spirit and encourager he was. Saddened by his passing but I celebrate Ron today and always for his love for people and his insight in people’s giftedness. Rest easy Ron you were truly a blessing
It was a pleasure to have worked with you and to have officiated your games. You will be deeply missed. RIP coach.
It was a pleasure knowing Ron for the short time that we did. We are sure that he will be missed. We are very sorry for your loss. Remember the good times.
