In Loving Memory of Sabina Eaton.

Sabina Eaton

1956 – 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sabina Eaton at the age of 69, on January 6th, 2026, in Brampton, Ontario following a long battle with cancer spanning 10 years.

Sabina Eaton was born on November 4th, 1956, in Toronto, and lived a life marked by her selfless love for her daughters, family and friends, and the community she served. She will be remembered by her faith in Christ, her contagious laugh and smiling no matter what course or hardship she had to face. Her love for gardening spanned in both her career as foreman for City of Toronto and in her retirement years. Diagnosed with cancer in March 2016, she conquered her odds and continued to live vivaciously and shared her love and unwavering faith until she was called home.

She is survived by her daughters Melissa (Milan) and Emily (Alexander), her brother Roman (Laurie) Jozwik, and sister Helen Jozwik, nieces Christine, Avril, and Lauren, nephews Michael J. and Joseph, and predeceased by her father Mieczyslaw Jozwik (2025), mother Anele Jozwik (2012), and Michael Brophy (2006).

The family will be holding a private service on Friday, January 23rd, 2026. A memorial will be held at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery, 737 Dundas St E, Mississauga at 1pm-4pm, for those who would like to celebrate Sabina’s life.

Rest in peace, Sabina Eaton.

Your light will be missed by all who knew and loved you.

Sabina was a beautiful person, a remarkable soul, and I am deeply saddened by her passing. She was not only my cousin and my godmother, but also a mentor who convinced me to do what I love in life. Sabina was truly inspiring, and I will forever be grateful to her for giving me the courage to follow my own path. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

My family in Poland and I would like to offer our most heartfelt condolences to all of Sabina’s loved ones, especially for her daughters – Emily and Melissa.
