Green, Constance Mary
GREEN, Constance Mary (née Schrag) – Passed away peacefully on June 16, 2011, in her 90th year. Predeceased by her husband Fred, son Scott, sister Ruth, and brothers Harry and Stanley, Connie is survived by her beloved sister Blanche (Stuart Land). She is lovingly remembered by her sons and daughters-in-law: Barry and Janey, Martin and Melanie, Vickie, and Alan and Donna. She will be deeply missed by her eight grandchildren – James (Steph), Katie (Gabe), Stephen, Jeremy, Jennifer, Kevin (Hilary), Sarah and Abbie. The wonderful support of Dr. Veenstra and all the amazing caregivers at Sunrise – Thorne Mill on Steeles has been greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, if you are so moved, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be a lovely way to honour Connie. A celebration of Connie’s full and wonderful life will be held at St. John the Baptist (Dixie) Anglican Church, 719 Dundas St. E, Mississauga (1 block east of Cawthra) on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.
Dear Cousins and families,
We were surprised and very saddened to hear of your Mum’s passing after a long and wonderful life. This must be a difficult time for all of you but hopefully friends and family will provide you comfort. I’m sure you will miss her terribly, and I know Mum will as well. She often spoke of her visits and frequent calls with Connie. Do stay in touch with us Westerners if you can. We’d like to see you if you are ever out this way and I know Mum would as well.
Warm regards
John & Diane Land
Dear Barry, Martin, Alan, Janie, Melody and Donna,
Although I live many miles away, I can assure you that you have been close to my heart these days.
Connie was a dear sister and I thank you for helping me keep in touch with her over the years with visits and phone calls etc.
Connie was well blessed with a wonderful loving family and many years to enjoy them in spite of the insidious Alzheimers disease. Hopefully she now has been joined with Fred, Scott and her many friends.
It is now time for you to enjoy a full happy life with no regrets and take time to welcome the first “Baby Green” and many more to come!!
Love to you all,
Blanche
P.S. – Think “WEST”
Dear Barry and Janey and extened family, I am so sorry to hear of Connie’s passing, as you know my Mom and Connie were first cousins. I remembered all the times I visited her at her cond in Toronto. She was Great Lady and will be very much missed.
Love,
Louise
Barry and Janey and extended family;
I was sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing yet I am also happy because I realize that she had a great life. Barry, I met you in grade 10 at Etobicoke Collegiate Institute which meant that I probably met your Mom the same year. That was 1965! A lot has happened since then.
Enjoy life every day.
Cheers love, and life.
Paul and Catherine.
Dear Barry, Janey and all of the extended clan,
We were so sorry to hear of Connie’s passing and although the last few years have presented their challenges for all of you I know that she will be missed. Try to be comforted in the knowledge that you all did so much to ensure that she knew she was loved and valued. We are thinking of you all. Love, Sheila, Ali and Andrew.
