In Loving Memory Annie Mae Foster
May 17, 1940 ~ August 13, 2025

Ann passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 13, 2025, at the age of 85. Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Michael Balahura and Viola MacLeod, and the step-daughter of the late Neil MacLeod.
Ann dedicated many years of her working life to Superior Electric, which later became Sesco, before her retirement. She was admired for her strong work ethic and quiet determination. In retirement, Ann enjoyed life’s simple pleasures like trips to the casino and playing bingo and spending time with family and friends. Her warm personality, sense of humor, and caring spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her brother, Gus Balahura, and her sister, Mary Ferraro. Ann is survived by her loving daughter, Cheryl (Don) Belliveau; her cherished grandson, Travis Belliveau; and her dear sister, Florence Gould. She will be lovingly missed by her nieces and nephews.

Ann spent many years living and working in Toronto before moving to Georgetown, and ultimately to Niagara Long Term Care, where she resided until her passing. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Niagara Long Term Care for the compassionate and attentive care provided to Ann each day. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s memory may be made to the Dementia Society or the Alzheimer’s Society.
