Nancy Mae Ewen

May 9, 1938 – June 9, 2024

Nancy Mae Ewen passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on June 9, 2024, at Credit Valley Hospital. Just last month, Nancy celebrated her 86th birthday, a milestone marked with joy and love.

Nancy’s professional life was diverse and fulfilling. She dedicated many years to Canada Post and contributed her nurturing spirit through running a home daycare. Her extreme love for baking brought delight to all who knew her, filling their lives with sweet memories and delicious treats.

Nancy will be forever missed by her sons Rick (Rita), Kelly, and Brian (Karen); her beloved grandchildren Jonathon, James, Jacob (Nicole), Matthew, and Lauren; and her great-grandson Ryder. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Louisa (Ian) and Suzanne (Peter), and her sister-in-law Alice. Nancy’s memory will continue to be cherished by her cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Her heart and home also embraced Cameron and Lisa, who became family to her through her years of home daycare.

She has now joined her parents, Ruth and Oscar, and her siblings Johnny, Alice, and Donny in eternal peace.

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Nancy on her passing. She was a very special person, so friendly and giving. Our Mother, Phyllis Vann shared a pew with Nancy at 8 am services during the many years between our Father’s passing (Jim Vann 1998) and her giving up her driving in 2012. They enjoyed many a coffee hour at Tim Hortons following the service. I know Nancy was a great comfort and friend to my Mom and I wanted to let you know. Wishing you many happy memories to sustain you and comfort with the knowledge that she is now at Peace.
    Regards, Marg (Vann) Matheson
