Daniel Ehren Davis known to friends as Ehren, passed away on December 24, 2025 in Toronto at the age of 47, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded and held close by his loved ones – his wife Rebecca and their daughter Zoe.

Ehren was a devoted father and partner. Zoe was the centre of his world. Taking her to school, telling stories and making each other laugh were some of his favourite parts of the day. He cherished watching Zoe grow, celebrating her victories and sharing in the everyday moments that made their lives special. He showed his love through steady, constant, and caring devotion to his family.

Ehren took great pride in his work in film and television and was exceptional at what he did earning the respect of his co-workers and collaborators. At work and at home, from Halifax to Toronto, Ehren was known for his kind heart and quiet strength.

Ehren is deeply missed by his family – his partner, Rebecca Battaglia and daughter Zoe Davis. He is also lovingly remembered by his mother Mary Jane Price; his step-mother Dorothy Hartmann; his mother-in-law Noreen Battaglia; his uncle and aunt David Lemon and Patricia Whitman; his uncle and aunt John and Ruth Davis; his siblings Sam, Sarah, and Nick and the many friends and extended family who loved him dearly and whose lives were made brighter by knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his father David Davis and step-father Howard Price.

A private cremation has taken place. A gathering to celebrate Ehren’s life will be held at a later date, with details to follow.
