Cartmel, Brandon James
Brandon James Cartmel February 5,1994 – October 29,2024
It is with tremendous sadness the family announce the sudden passing of Brandon on October 29 at the age of 30. He was also known by his many friends as Crumbs. Brandon was an extremely talented skateboarder from the age of 5, who won many awards at competitions in his youth. An inspiration to all aspiring riders. Brandon was an honorable high school graduate who quickly gained a passion for the trades. He was a skilled hard-working roofer with Aucoin Roofing For several years before falling ill. Brandon faced many challenges having been diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 24. An unimaginable illness he could not defeat. Our hearts are deeply saddened by his sudden passing, trying to find peace in knowing that he is no longer suffering and is with his loved ones in heaven. Brandon was the cherished son of Pamela Stoutenburg and the late Jason Cartmel, stepson of Michel Hernandez Arbolay. Loving brother to Corey Cartmel (Brenda Silva), and Skylar Logan. Uncle to Rylee and Kenneth-Rowan Cartmel. Grandson of Jane Johnson, and Judy Cartmel. Brandon will also be missed deeply by his aunt Jennifer Stoutenburg and uncles Mark Stoutenburg, John Cartmel and Rob Cartmel. Predeceased by his grandfathers, Harold Stoutenburg and Kenneth Cartmel. He will also be remembered by many cousins and his stepsiblings (Amber, Dylan and Taylor), friends and community support workers. He was lost but now he is found! ~ Following cremation (Tranquility) Family and Friends will be received at a Celebration of Life held at the Polish Hall, 126 Albion St Brantford on November 15th, 2024, at 5-8pm. The family would like to request that in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his honor to SOAR Community Services – www.soarcs.ca/agency/donate-now.
To My Nephew Brandon;
You gave no one a last farewell, and couldnt said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. But you didn’t go alone, for a part of us went with you, the day God took you home.
The family chain is broken now and nothing seems the same. But as God takes us one by
one the chain will link again
Our hearts are broken and we are forever altered. You left a huge void that can never be replaced. I hope you now know how much you were truely loved by so many. I loved you more than i got the chance to show you. Despite your battles you were truely one of a kind l, so special and had a huge heart and so many talents. I hope you are skateboarding your way through heaven and can finally rest in peace. Until we meet again buddy.. Auntie Jennifer XOXO
Dear Pammy & family,
My son Daniel & I are very saddened to hear about the loss of your son Brandon. We can’t imagine the tremendous worry you have all felt since Brandon’s illness, culminating in this heartbreaking pain from his untimely departure from Mother Earth.
We did not have the opportunity to get to know Brandon, but from the stories you’ve shared Pam & his abilities as a young man, he sounds like he was extraordinary human being.
We send our deepest condolences & love and healing light to all of you at this very sad time.
Respectfully,
-Michelle Froman & Daniel Froman-Sinclair
