Maria Fatima Cabral,
Passed away on January 7, 2015 at the age of 78 after a lengthy battle against Alzheimer’s disease.
Maria was born in 1936 in Terceira, Azores Portugal to the late Maria da Conceicao Rocha and Francisco Ferreira Lima. Maria is survived by her loving husband Carlos Cabral, who she married on July 26,1958.
Maria is the treasured and loving mother of 6 children. Her 4 sons: Carlos, Frank, Paul and Roger and 2 daughters: Isilda and Telma. Maria and Carlos emigrated, with their children, to Canada in 1973.
Maria was blessed with 15 precious grandchildren: Darren, Vanessa, Matthew, Michelle, Kevin, Janice, Jessica, Justine, Jordan, Aaron, Michael, Kayla, Caleb, Abbey and Cameron. She was also a great-grandmother to Jack, Emily and Ellie.
Maria was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother and loved nothing more than her family. All those that knew and loved her will fondly remember her playfulness, smile and laughter.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Sheridan Villa for their love and support of Maria in her final days.
She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to Alzheimer Society Ontario at www.alzheimer.ca.
