I’m glad I got to come visit my uncle one last time back in 2013. I will surely miss him forever as will anyone that knew him. I remember how thoughtful and positive he was and how he could always come up with something good to say about anybody or any situation. I remember my many visits back to Burlington and of conversations with him where he was always interested in what I was up to and how I was doing. He always made me feel like I was important and respected. He truly thought the world of his family and they think the same of him.

Dick was a caring, thoughtful gentleman who was ahead of his time in many things. His contributions to the Lily Society and agriculture in general will long be remembered. Our deepest sympathy to you all.
