Evelyn Chow 1951 – 2026

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Evelyn Chow (MacGillivray) known to many as Evy on January 4th, 2026. Born on May 24th, 1951 in Charlottetown, P.E.I.. With Evelyn’s departure, she left a void that can never be filled. We remember a life lived with immense love and a constant sense of caring. Her love for nature, meeting people, photography and strong faith which she shared generously.
She was a Leader with the Legion of Mary. Evelyn worked as a Dental Assistant for many years. She loved the little children who received her tender care while working as a Teacher Assistant in a Daycare Center. She loved all her grand nieces and grand nephews as well as all her family.
Evelyn is survived by her husband Frank Chow of 30 years. They enjoyed many trips to the Caribbean and family time in both P.E.I. and California.  Evelyn is now reunited with her parents Alexander J. MacGillivray and Stella (McCormack) brothers Walter (Anne), Grant. Melvin (Essie), Charlie (Anita), sister-in-law Marion and brother-in-law Jerry Fay.
Evelyn is survived by her twin sister Mary (Jim Doyle), Regina and Brenda (Joe Christiaans), David (Cheryl), John (Marie), Jimmy and Ronnie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held in P.E.I. at a later date preferably in the Springtime, a season of new life.
