In Loving Memory of Lawerence Pinkney

Lawrence Pinkney 1944 – 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence Pinkney who died on December 26, 2025, at Mississauga Hospital at the age of 81 years old.

Born on June 17, 1944, in Toronto, Lawrence lived a full and meaningful life marked by curiosity, dedication, and quiet generosity. He is survived by his partner Janice White, Jason and Jeremy (Kim)White, sister Sheila Bannister (Don), nieces
Victoria Yehl and Virginia Watts (Jamie), great-nephew Grayson and great-niece Chelsea Watts.

Lawrence graduated from Carleton University in 1965 as a Chartered Accountant and went on to enjoy a long and successful career working with various banks and law firms. Early in his professional life, his work with the Exxon Disaster Team
sparked a lifelong love of travel and adventure. Always eager to share his knowledge, he also taught accounting classes at York University in his spare time. Outside of work, Lawrence found great joy in stamp collecting, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life and connected him to many clubs and friendships, where he generously served as both a member and treasurer. Lawrence will be deeply missed by his many friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Zilbert and the staff at Mississauga Hospital for their care and compassion.

Visitation will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Islington on January 24, 2026 at 11:00am followed immediately by a service at 12:00pm.
