I first met Sharon many years ago in Toronto when she was visiting her friend, Phyllis at Princess Margaret Hospital. My best friend, Sandra, was Phyllis’s cousin, and when Sandra came to Toronto to see her, we both met Sharon. When Sandra returned to Ireland she kept in touch with Sharon and I kept in touch too meeting Sharon on occasion when she came from Toronto to visit Kathryn in Kitchener. Once Sharon moved to Kitchener, we met many times for lunch at my house and hers and I always enjoyed her company. We continued the lunches once I moved to New Hamburg and spending time with Sharon was always like a breath of fresh air. She had a great sense of humor and thoughtfulness. I am grateful for having known Sharon and will miss her greatly.
We are so deeply saddened for the loss. Sharon was such a special person and we will always remember her warmth and kindness. We feel so lucky our paths crossed. My 94 old mother shared a room with Sharon years back at St Joe’s and they continued their friendship for many years thereafter. Sharon would often visit my mom at her retirement home in waterloo always bearing a smile. Eva and Ialso became very fond of Sharon having dinner or lunch. Sharon brought so much joy to our family and we will miss her. She touched so many lives for the good. RIP
Dear Kathryn, my heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I am so sorry for your loss. Everyone who knew Sharon will miss her laughter, her kindness and her positive spirit. Drives in Barbados won’t quite be the same.
Kathryn,
Our heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to you and your family. I’m sure Sharon will be greatly missed by many. Such a lovely lady, so kind and engaging. We will certainly miss her this year in Barbados. Always enjoyed swapping out sweet treats…
Fond Regards,
Elaine & Patrick Mott
I am so very sorry for your loss. Sharon was always so kind and genuine. We were high school friends in Jamaica and reconnected around 15 years ago. I will miss our talks over the years. I admire her for her strength dealing with her illness while leading her best life, traveling to see family far away. She’s an inspiration on how to live your best life.
I’m so sorry to hear that Sharon has passed away. She was such a sweet lady. My condolences to her family. May you take comfort in all of the good memories.
our heartfelt condolences to Kathryn, Graham (Michelle) and the extended family on the loss of Sharon. We will miss our very dear friend. Her courage was an inspiration to us all. Rest in peace Sharon.
Love and blessings to all the Allamby family as we mourn dear Sharon’s passing. Even heaven will be brightened by her smile.
My condolences to Kathryn, Graham and all of Sharon’s family. Loving thoughts and healing prayers are with all of you. Sharon and I were childhood friends, and have known each other pretty well all our lives. She was a beautiful person, inside and out and will be missed. Over all the years, moving from Jamaica to Canada, we remained the best of friends, even though in later years we did not see each other as often, as we would have liked, due to distance and health issues. We were close friends right to the end. May she Rest Peacefully now, free from pain.
Very sorry to hear about our dear family friend, please accept my condolences. She will be missed. Love to all in this difficult time.
Kathryn, please accept my deepest condolences with the passing of Sharon. She will be missed
Sad news. Sincere condolences to Graham and Kathryn. Sharon is fondly remembered by my Mum Lucille Alleyne, my brother Andrew Alleyne, and myself. My parents were great friends of Rex & Sheila in Barbados. May she Rest In Peace.
Condolences . Will miss her..know she is at peace. Love and prayers to her family
My heart aches at the loss of a dear friend who was loving, compassionate and so full of life and happiness. Sharon was beautiful inside and out. Our visits, when she came to our friend Gloria’s up here in cottage country, were always so full of fun and laughter. Our last visit a couple of months ago I shall treasure forever. She always made a point of seeing me whether I was at work in Foodland or with Gloria. I have known Sharon for over 30 years and loved her from day 1. May she rest in Heavenly Peace. Truly a great loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have many fond memories of all of us together .. having a glass or two of wine and laughing. I will remember and cherish those times forever. Hugs and kisses to you all.
