Pietrangelo, Raffaele
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Raffaele Pietrangelo also known as Ralph or Ralphie to his friends and family. Ralph was born February 15, 1956, in his treasured city of Toronto and left us peacefully on September 23, 2024. Hie is survived by his beloved son Daniel and daughter in law Toska, his grandson Nolan, his sister Angela (Tony), his nieces and nephews, his uncles, aunt and cousins. He will be reunited with his father Carmine (Antonio), his mother Michelina, his sister Anna, brother Michael and nephew who went before him and are waiting with loving arms to receive him along with the many family members who went before him.
From childhood to adulthood, Toronto was the city he adored and travelled each end, either walking or by the TTC. Ralph inherited his mother’s natural ability to make friends and capability to speak to anyone he encountered. He enjoyed recalling his adventures to all saying “You will never guess who I met or what happened”. Ralph’s love of music took him to countless concerts, festivals and events with his dear friends or cousins. You could count on Ralph being on the dance floor in a disco, at a wedding or in the stands on his feet singing and dancing and that is how he will be remembered by those who knew and loved him. Ralph was an avid sports fan, he loved going to Maple Leafs, Blue Jays & Buffalo Bills games. But his favourite was watching college football on a Saturday.
Daniel, Toska and the family thanks all that were able to come and say their last goodbyes to him and to all those who reached out in support of the family through this very difficult period. Special thanks to those friends and family who came many times to aid and support Ralph. We would also like to thank the staff and doctors at Joseph Brant Hospital for their continuous care and support of Ralph over his difficult journey.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on October 19th at St. Raphael’s parish, 4072 New St., Burlington, ON followed by a celebration of life reception afterwards in the parish hall.
