SZCZUR, Mark Russell
It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of our beloved brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend on Saturday, February 2, 2019, in his 47th year. Mark was the much loved son of Russell Szczur (2010) and Linda (Main) Szczur (2011); precious brother of Jennifer Doherty (Michael), Terry (Sherry), and Jamie (Kelly). He was fun, fun, fun uncle to Spenser & Jordan Doherty, Victoria Szczur, and Dylan & Ally Szczur. He will be forever missed by Tammy Szczur (Richer) and his step-children Jessica and Cody McBeth. He will also be mourned by his aunts Janice Nyyssonen, Shirley Dereniwski, Pat Szczur; his uncle Walter Szczur; and many cousins and friends. Mark was extremely generous, even when he had nothing to give. His final few years were unfortunately troubled – as he continued to desperately mourn the loss of our mother, and he struggled with prescription drug use. This is not the Mark we choose to remember. We will remember the guy who would give you the shirt off his back, the uncle who would buy the kids $30 worth of candy and celebrate New Years by marching up and down the street clanging pot lids. We will remember the brother who started every phone conversation with “How is ya?” and end them with “I love you”. Good bye sweet Mark. May you finally find peace. Cremation has taken place. A private funeral and interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery will be announced at a later date. Donations to New City Church (memo line – King’s Kids Dreamers) would be most appreciated. Hebrews 12:13 (NLT) Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.

Very sorry to hear about the loss of mark. he and I and all our rowdy friends had a blast growing up as teenagers.
him and I had lost touch over years, but my memory of him along with the others in our group are etched in my memory as great times of youthful carelessness and laughter. to his family and friends I hope time helps to heal you and know that eventually we will all meet again. rest in peace mark.
Very sorry to hear about mark.
Him and I and our rowdy friends had lots of laughs as teens growing up. To his friends and family I’m sorry for your loss.
