Shone, Norma
Norma Shone
September 22, 1931 – November 18, 2017
Norma passed away at her home on Saturday November 18 with her daughter by her bedside. Norma predeceased by her husband Doug (1993). Loving mother of Debbie, Mark (Jeanne), and Cameron (Christine). Loving Nanny to Caitlin, Jenna, Jeffrey, Brandon, and Alexis.
Norma came to Canada after WW2 from Liverpool to start a new life with her husband Doug. She spent 40 years in the same home in Etobicoke raising her 3 children. She loved her job at Hi Tech Express. Once her children left home, she traveled a good part of the world with her best friend Gloria Morrison. Her retirement years were spent at Wilmont creek in Bowmanville. She flourished there. Whether it was tap dancing, acting in small theatre productions, or dancing with her group “The Blue Angels”, she had the time of her life! Norma was an avid Blue Jays fan, and spent countless hours listening to her favorites Michael Buble and Rod Stewart. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
We will gather to celebrate Norma’s life on December 2, 2017 between 1:00pm – 5:00pm at 966 Inverhouse Drive, Mississauga. The drop-in memorial will be held in the Reception room.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Liver Clinic through the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation. Please visit www.tgwhf.ca/tribute to make a donation.
