May 01, 1951 ~ August 24, 2023
In loving memory of Diane Reading, age 72, of Mississauga, Ontario who passed away with her daughters by her side after a long battle with lung cancer. Diane passed away at Mississauga Trillium hospital on Thursday August 24, 2023 at 7:15am.
Diane is survived by her two daughters Lisa (Sheldon) and Linda (Rainier); her 3 grandchildren Terrell, Brayden and Liam; her 2 grand-pups Stella and Charlie; and pre-deceased by her loving husband David Reading in 2013.
Diane was born in Middlesex, England and emigrated to Canada in 1957 when she was 6 years old.
She married the late David Reading in 1970 and they lived together in Mississauga, Ontario for the majority of their marriage.
Diane was immensely proud of her family and adored her grandchildren and grand-pups. She leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
As per Diane’s wishes, she did not want a funeral.
Her daughters, Lisa and Linda will be having a celebration of life for both their parents, David and Diane (date and details to follow in the near future).
A special thank you to Dr. Louie Mavrogiannis of Dorothy Ley Hospice; nurses, Charlene Schembri and Michelle Norman of Bayshore Home Care for their support; and all members of the Palliative team that were involved in the care and support for Diane and her family.
So sorry about your loss! Diane was a compassionate, generous, kind and hardworking woman and I feel privileged to have known her. I will fondly remember our conversations about work, life and family. You made your mom so very proud, and her legacy will continue to live on in you! She will be missed; may she rest in eternal peace!
Diane was a beautiful, kind sweet soul. I thank her very much for all the goodies she gave me to send to Jamaica for the school. May God bless her soul. She will be a very sweet angel ❤
