CLARK, Roy

It’s with broken hearts, we as a family announce that our beloved Husband, Father and Grandad, Roy Clark passed away peacefully in his 72nd year on Monday August 21st, 2023. He bravely faced a brief battle which he fought with strength and dignity to the end. He never gave up.

Roy leaves behind the love of his life of 53 years, his wife Tina, proud and loving Dad to Lee (Deanne), Sara and Kelly, who will miss him dearly.

He is Grandad to five amazing grandchildren whom he adores and loves dearly. Jordan, Cooper, Cruz, Ashlee and Tyler, they will miss his silly jokes, stories and his crazy, funny personality.

Roy also leaves behind his fur grandbabies Tetley, Six, Gray, Samoa, Harley, Winnie, Roxy and Haizlee.

Roy is survived by his brother Paul and Mal Clark, brother in-law John and Janet Shelley, and sister in-law Dawn and the late Stuart Ratledge. Along with his nephews, niece and many other extended family members and friends all over Canada, England and Australia.

Roy was born in Birmingham, England. Roy and Tina were married on August 8th, 1970, in Birmingham. In 1979, they moved their family of 5 to Canada, where they both put down roots to raise their family and make a better life.

They were blessed to have amazing friends in both the UK and Canada. They loved their life together, and enjoyed travelling and exploring many different places and went on many cruises together, but there was no place like home, with family and friends.

Roy was a man of many passions including fishing, a nice glass of Guinness, spicy food or just any food. He would try anything. He was a great storyteller and over the years he would reel you in with a yarn or two. He loved working with his hands and wasn’t happy until he figured things out and fixed them, and proud that his children have all inherited his genes.

A special thank you to all the doctors and staff at the Brantford General and Juravinski Hospital for their exceptional care they provided for Roy. To John, at Tranquility Cremation Services in Brantford, thank you for your compassion and help during this difficult time.

Honoring Roy’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A “Celebration of Life” will take place on Saturday September 16th, at Smokey Hollow Clubhouse, 118 Powerline Rd, Brantford, from 12pm-3pm. For those who wish to come and join the family to share memories and stories of Roy.

Donations may be made to “English Bulldog Rescue Ontario” and/or “The Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada” in memory of Roy.

“Go around, go under, go through, but NEVER GIVE UP”.
