It is with completely broken hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Jacob Donald Clark Smith on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the age of 28 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his father Glenn Smith of Brantford, mother Sue & step-dad Rick Bendall of Sarnia. Brother of Melissa Stark (Paul Colby), Dave (Abby) Smith and step-brother to Leah (Jason) Barnier and Brian Bendall. Jacob loved by his daughter Pheobe and her mother Caitlyn Kleinstruber very much as well as his nieces and nephews. Jake is predeceased by his grandfathers Don Bickell (2019) and Ken Smith (1995). He is survived by is grandmothers Marg Bickell and Marie Smith plus many Aunts, Uncles and cousins on both the Smith and Bickell sides. Jake was a fun-loving guy with a very kind heart who was always willing to help others. He was a favourite uncle to play with all the little ones. Jacob was very creative and artistic and could easily make you laugh…and sometimes roll your eyes. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in the Nottingham Room at the Sherwood Restaurant 799 Colbourne St. E. Brantford, ON on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at from 2-4 pm. Expressions of Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a trust fund set up for Jacob’s daughter Pheobe Smith by contacting Caitlyn Kleinstruber or Sue Bendall (suebendall94@gmail.com)Please note: all condolences are reviewed before they appear publicly on the obituary page.
