Davide Nigro
(September 3, 1936 – February 2, 2022)
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Davide Nigro. After fearlessly battling cancer for many years he succumbed to complications from heart surgery. He passed away in his family’s loving arms on February 2, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife Francesca, his son Sergio and his wife Teresa, his son Joey and his wife Sabrina and his grandchildren Arianna, Serena and Davide (his namesake). He also leaves behind his brothers Emilio and Giuseppe along with many nieces and nephews.
He was born in San Fili, Provincia di Cosenza, Calabria, Italy. He immigrated to Canada in 1960, met Francesca in 1966 and they were married in 1967. They began to study the Bible together and he was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1974. His life reflected the faith and love he had for his God, Jehovah and he instilled this strong faith in his children and grandchildren. He was always busy in the ministry and took every opportunity to share Bible truths with everyone.
Davide touched many lives and will forever be remembered for his warm smile and cheerful demeanor.
“Because he has affection for me, I will rescue him. I will protect him because he knows my name… He will call on me, and I will answer him…” Psalm 91: 14, 15.
Visitation will take place on February 9, 2022 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
