Cremation can be specified in the funeral plan of the deceased or you can choose to be cremated by getting a funeral insurance and pay for the service ahead of time.
Even though getting cremation services are economical, you still have to watch the inclusions in the package so you won’t be paying any unnecessary items in the checklist. So, what do people commonly include in their cremation packages?
The funeral director may offer you different things in addition to the actual cremation, but these are the most important inclusions that you should consider:
- Transportation. An essential inclusion in the package that you need to include is the transportation of the body of the deceased from the place of death to the crematory where the cremation will take place. In most cases, the body will be taken from the hospital and brought to the crematory. But there are some cases wherein the deceased has died in his home and there is no need to bring the body to the hospital. Adding this to the service is really good since families would not want to handle the body of their departed loved one since they may still be in shock because of the death.
- Death Certificate. It will also be important to include the acquisition of death certificates into the list. Because the company will now handle the paperwork, the family members can grieve normally without stressing themselves out about any necessary documents that need to be filed.
- Cremation Container. Having the company provide for the cremation container will also make it a lot more convenient for the family. These containers are not the actual cremation urns where the ashes are permanently placed. These are the containers where the body will be placed when it will be cremated.
