“Wild Bill” dies suddenly: Bill Paxton Passes
Every soul will taste death. It’s inevitable and excludes no one. The parting guest leaves behind heartaches and tears, holding them in the memory like an image without being there. The call of death and the setting sun of life proceed to the cemetery, the ultimate resting place for everyone. The grave bed is engaged by a newcomer and the mourners unite to pay farewell.
Originating from Fort Worth, Texas, Bill Paxton moved to Los Angles at a very young age of eighteen. He was introduced to the world by Crazy Mama as John. Later, he studied drama at New York University. Paxton wrote, directed and produced award-winning music videos and short films that obviously got recognition, namely Fish Heads in the year 1980. He was an actor and a businessman like his father. He simultaneously took two careers ahead and marked a name in history. His memorable performances in different characters earned him a good name as a versatile artist. Private Hudson in Aliens, a wandering vampire Severen in Near Dark directed by Kathryn Bigelow, a sadistic older brother in Weird Science were roles well played. He worked progressively in both films and on TV. The veteran actor starred in TV shows like Big Love, Texas Rising and to name big movies like Titanic, The Terminator, Aliens and more on the list. He received much attention with the popular TV show Big Love where he played the main lead for which he was nominated three times. The show received praise and compliments and earned several awards. He had built a long list of famous movies and TV shows. The actor was cast in One False Move in 1992 and played a protagonist. He was critically acclaimed and was also known as a character actor. After the big breakthrough, he earned strong supporting roles such as Morgan in Tombstone in 1993, Simone in True Lies (1994) and as Fred Haise, as one of the three astronauts in Apollo 12 in the year 1995.
These demanding character roles were enough to get acclaimed and make a career. In addition to this, he got several leading roles that proved his capability as an actor who was skilled in playing eccentric and interesting character roles.
Bill had an attractive and charming personality and he was one of the most dependable supporting actors. The Big Love star departed due to stroke as a result of surgery complications. He died on the 25th of February 2017, on a Saturday. His death was announced on Sunday by a family spokesman giving no other details.
February 26th was a time when everyone was waiting to party and celebrate in Hollywood because of the 89th annual Academy Awards to be telecast that night. The fans and the industry were shocked to hear about the sudden death of an all rounder. Everyone was mourning his untimely death.
Paxton had that Everyman quality that made him such a good character actor. Recognizing his power and strength as an actor, he used to call himself a journeyman acquiring different roles, jumping to a different role every time. The frequent supporting roles polished him as a skilled character actor. His talent and ability as an actor managed a great line. Starring roles found him in this course of his action from offbeat roles to leading men. Bill Paxton was also known as “Wild Bill” for his sense of humor.
Personal Life
Bill Paxton was married twice. He was briefly married to Kelly Rowan from 1979 – 1980: less than a year. They had no children together and got divorced in 1980. He married Louise Newbury in 1987, seven years after his divorce. He was married for 30 years to Louise until his death and had 2 kids with her, James Paxton and Lydia Paxton.
It was a sudden death and the Paxton family stated: “It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery”. The family statement was further released that said “A loving husband and father, Bill began his career in Hollywood working on films in the art department and went on to have an illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor and filmmaker. Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their adored husband and father.”

The makers of the famous HBO series Big Love composed an emotional tribute to their beloved star “We are extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Bill Paxton. Big Love was a seminal series for HBO for many years due to Bill’s extraordinary talent and grace. Off screen, he was as warm, smart and fun as one could be. A true friend to so many at HBO. He will be greatly missed.”
