James Harry Irish

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Irish, who departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in his 79^th year. Jim was born on May 14, 1947, in Brantford to Harry and Eleanor Irish. Jim was a devoted husband to Victoria, his loving wife of 41 years, a beloved father to Vanessa (Errol Walters) and Eamon, and a proud grandfather to Shane and Zachary. He will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters, Gary (April), Joan (Peter Olszowy), Rosemary and Paul. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews, brother-in-law of Serge Sidoruk and Marisa Irish. Jim served as a Corrections Officer for 23 years at both Burch and Sprucedale Youth Centre where he helped guide and re-shape the lives of all who knew him. His spare time was devoted to family, friends, music and playing with his dog, Mia. His kindness, generosity and unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
