Veronica Bailey was a peaceful loving soul who wanted the best for her family. She leaves behind many family members in both Canada & the U.S. who loved her dearly. The list includes my father George Bailey, two daughters Dianne Daugird & Jeanette Dennie. Four grandchildren Jerry, Lisa, Troy & Tamara. Six great grandchildren Alia, Kayla, Tiana, Luka, Dante & Carmelo. Also included was her loving niece Maureen John who my mother had a very close and loving relationship with. She was loved by so many and will be missed by all. We are grateful for the 88 years she was here on this Earth and know that she is now resting in peace.
Love you Always,
Dianne & your entire family.

Our sweet grandma/ great-grandma Vera will be truly missed. She was such a warm and loving person who touched all of our lives. I will always remember she sweet smile and laugh. Grandma Vera had so much love in her heart for her family. She deeply loved her husband George, and we will all be forever grateful for the immense sacrifices she made in her life to travel to England to reunite with him. I will always remember her sweet smile and glow of happiness she had whenever she was around family. I can’t express enough how much we loved her. I wish you are in a better place now grandma, watching us from heaven.
We all love you forever grandma; you are forever in our hearts.

So many memories i have of falling asleep to the hockey games blaring throughout the evenings????. Love Always, Natasha, Boris, Tyler and Malaya

Hi Grandma,
I miss and love you so much! I love your gentle and kind demeanor. You always made me feel so welcome and made me feel special. I even stole one of your lines and use it to this day, “That was a hot one”. When some one told a joke you thought it was funny you always said that; I thought it was so funny how you said it and it made me laugh also. Thank you for being one of the cornerstones of our family! I’m thankful you got to meet my children and we are all thankful for the time we were able to spend with you.
Love you always,
Jerry

My Aunt Vera was a wonderful woman whose kindness and love couldn’t be overlooked. I remember the many Christmas and New Years celebrations at her house. She made everyone feel very welcome with her warm words of praise… saying how beautiful everyone looks…Teasing me sometimes if the guys in Montreal cannot see.(haha). Always wanting her family to be happy…It was unquestionable the love she had for two kids and her grandchildren with the numberless of their pictures that surrounded her bed.
Rest In Peace Aunty Vera. You will always be in my heart.

Aunty V. – this loss even typing these words are still so raw, you were always so sweet to me and John (my spouse). The last time we saw you, touched, hugged was just before Christmas. You always called me “Dear” – I kept my fingers crossed during all the months after calling you just to make sure you were O.K. I believe God needed you to bring laughter in heaven, to be not only by his side but with the rest of the family in Heaven. Because of the sacrifices you made many years ago leaving Trinidad then travelling to England and finally to Canada you embedded for the rest of us to follow – what a sacrifice you made for all of us – we thank you. One day, I will see you, but for now Aunty V. keep smiling, laughing – and yes, you have always been optimistic hoping the Leafs will win again – you and John always stated “one day”. I remember the visits to our St. Catharines’ home and the one weekend we brought you to our home to spend a weekend with us and we took you to Niagara Falls, you had a great time. These memories I carry in my heart, Thank you Aunty V for everything you did for the Family – God Bless. Rachael Sparkes (great niece) and John Sparkes from St. Catharines
