George leaves behind a large legacy of nieces and nephews who he thought the world of. His three furry family members Diva, Prince and Jack. His very good friend Dennis Norman who was more like a brother and always there for him.

Born and raised in Canso, NS, George spent many years on the water whether it be the ocean or later lakes in different capacities for both work and pleasure. His love of fishing and hunting carried on through his life until he physically couldn’t do it anymore. After moving to Ontario 60 odd years ago his annual trips back to home to see his beloved family and friends every summer were the highlight of his year.

Cremation has already taken place. A service and celebration of life will take place in the summer of 2025 when we can bring George back home to Canso, NS where he wanted his final resting place to be. Further dates will be shared when available.

I have very fond memories of George when we spent many a long weekend at his cottage in Wiarton. He was always so happy to have a crowd of us with our kids show up.
