“Don’t cry because it’s over…Smile because it happened”
I knew Dom back in the early 2000’s…I moved out of the area and did not run into him as I usually did.
My condolences to the boys and rest of family. Ironically he passed away the same day as my Mom.
Dominic was like a second father to me and my wife. From the moment we met him, he opened his arms and became part of our family. We were so close he wanted to be called zio to our daughter, Amelia. She loved to see him everyday, in which he would pick her up, take her around the garage and commence the “daily routine” of turning on and off all the lights and smelling all the flowers. He was always there to lend a helping hand, whenever we needed him, provide delicious “door dash” deliveries, and take care of our dogs “Murpho” and “Francucho”, as he called them. Like many in the neighbourhood, he helped build our fence in the backyard over the last couple of summers. It was quality bonding time for us and I think my perfectionism got the best of him at some points. When I look at the fence it’s a constant reminder, and feeling, that he is always around us and giving us a big hug. We wish that he could see Amelia grow up, but I know he will be watching from above. You will be in our hearts forever, Zio.
So sorry to hear about Dominic s passing ..he was such a nice guy ..it was a pleasure to meet him and entire family many years ago ..may he rest in peace..our most sincere condolences to the entire family
I was heartbroken to hear about the passing of your father, Dom. Even though I never had the chance to meet him, I feel like I got to know him a bit through the stories you’ve shared. It’s clear he was an incredible man with a generous heart, a kind spirit, and a positive outlook on life.
I can’t imagine the depth of your loss, but I hope you find some comfort in the wonderful memories and love you shared with him. His legacy will live on through you and your family.
