3rd International Workshop on HIV and Women
For the past few years, there had been a lot of talks and awareness campaigns for HIV. Unfortunately, there have been no clear awareness programs in the country that were organized for the treatment of HIV in women.
Since the year 2011, Research Raven has been conducting a yearly international conference for women with HIV. The 3rd International Workshop on HIV and Women is scheduled on the 14th and 15th of January, 2013. The location of this workshop will be at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
When people think about HIV, they always associate it with no cure and death. Although planning for cremation costs or burial arrangement will be important for everyone especially those with HIV, this conference and workshop series will focus on the specific needs of women and overcoming their struggles once they have been infected with the HIV.
The most important points that will be discussed during the 2 day workshop include HIV with aging or menopause, hormone interactions with the medications, HIV on pregnant women, and most importantly the social stigma of HIV especially the behavioral aspects to infected women.
Women with HIV should attend this international workshop and it is better if their families and caregivers would attend the event too. In addition to emergency health planning, looking for ways to prevent complications and future infections will also be focused.
Families of those HIV patients who have lost their lives to the disease can also attend the event and bring some friends to help increase awareness about HIV. Some family members may even bring the cremation jewelry of the victims to commemorate their battle against the illness.
The two-day workshop will include interactive sessions and discussions which are backed with research results and scientific data from the experts who have studied HIV for many years.
