Myles William Provo

Myles William Provo was born January 25th, 1945 in North Preston, Nova Scotia to Thomas Sr. and Helen (Smith) Provo who preceded him in transition.

 

He also spent time with his Grandparents Demus and Susana (Bundy) Smith; Johnny and Barbara Provo, who preceded him in transition.

 

He is survived by his Children: Donna Darlene Kane and Cheryl Provo of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; Kirk Provo of Lake Loon; Doreen Smith of North Preston, Nova Scotia; Robert Provo and Lorna Johnson of Toronto, Ontario; and James McQuaid of Montreal, Quebec. He’s predeceased by his son Terry Smith.

 

Myles was a Grandfather of 6 and Great-Grandfather of  9.

 

Siblings: Dennis (Beatrice); Sharon (Malcolm) Barton; Norman (Robin); Diana; Clinton (Lita), all of Toronto, Ontario.

Basil and Glen of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Philip and Sister-in-Law, Ivory Provo of North Preston, Nova Scotia.

 

Brothers Thomas Sr., Dale, Sammy, along with his Sisters Shirley (Provo) Fraser, Celia and Madeline. Sisters-in-Law Beverly (Sparks) Provo, Beverly (Beals) Provo, Myrna (Cain) Provo, all preceded him in transition.

 

Step-Siblings: Clara (Clayton) Gough, Peter Clayton (Barbara); Martha Grant (Barrington); Althea Toliver (James), all of East Preston, Nova Scotia.

Clifford Clayton and Pam Clayton of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Carlton Clayton of Vancouver, B.C.

 

Step-Brothers Nolan Clayton, Joseph and Ervine Clayton, and Step-Sister Vivian Clayton, all preceded him in transition.

 

Myles was passionate about carpentry and painting. He transformed spaces with creativity and skill.

He loved to look good, always in a suit, especially at family functions. His warmth and laughter enriched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

 

Final resting arrangements have been entrusted to:

Tranquility Burial and Cremation Services Inc.

The body will be cremated and celebration of life is TBD (to be determined).

      Dear Anne, Glen, Dennis, Norman, Clinton, Phillip and the rest of the family, please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your brother Miles. I didn’t know him personally but I do know that he orignates from a respectful and loving family.
      May his soul rest in peace. I pray you all feel God’s presence at this time and always.
