Wilson, Lorna

It is with great sadness that the family of Lorna Frances Wilson announce her passing on Saturday, July 10th, 2021 at The Stedman Hospice.

Peacefully surrounded by family, Lorna earned her wings and journeyed on to join her deceased father Ken, mother Joyce, sister Margie and son Adam.

Lorna was a wonderful wife to husband Joe for 36 years, mother to son Joey, grandmother to Devon, Samantha and Adam, great-grandmother to Clayton, dedicated sister to Patti and Kathy and a friend to countless others.

Lorna was a fierce ambassador for Breast Cancer Prevention as well as a passionate contributor to numerous charities such as The Christmas Basket, Food Bank, Helping Hands and Men’s Mission. Lorna was also an avid researcher of family genealogy.

Lorna will be forever missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

“Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened.”

 Henry Scott Holland

Celebration of Life to be determined at a later date.

Sending love, and deepest condolences Joe & Joey, to you both, and your Families and friends. Lorna was always such a joyful, funny, and best of all sincere woman. Will always remember visiting you in Headon Forest, at the beginning of your adventure together, and our great wknd at camp in Utica N.Y. Lorna indeed earned her wings, and will fly free forever.
