Direct cremation is the most simple cremation option in which the deceased is cremated with no viewing, visitation or funeral service beforehand. Once the necessary documents and authorizations are completed, the deceased is transferred to the crematorium for a private cremation to occur.
Direct cremation generally includes bringing your loved one into our care, professional services, necessary documentation, shelter, a basic cremation container, transportation to the crematorium and the cremation itself. Everything included will be clearly outlined before you make any decisions, along with any additional costs that may apply.
Yes. Many families choose to hold a memorial service, celebration of life or informal gathering after the cremation. This can take place whenever and wherever feels right, allowing more time to bring family and friends together and personalize the gathering.
Under typical circumstances, the cremated remains will be returned to the family within 5–7 days. Timing may vary if there are delays in receiving the necessary documents or authorizations, but we will keep you informed throughout the process.
After the cremation, the cremated remains are placed in a temporary container or an urn selected or provided by the family. Once they are ready, we will contact you to arrange their return. Families may choose to keep, bury, or scatter the cremated remains in accordance with local requirements.
