We’ll meet again –  Vera Lynn, Johnny Cash, Rosemary Clooney

We’ll meet again,
Don’t know where,
Don’t know when
But I know we’ll meet again some sunny day
Keep smiling through,
Just like you always do
Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away

So will you please say “Hello”
To the folks that I know
Tell them I won’t be long
They’ll be happy to know
That as you saw me go
I was singing this song

We’ll meet again,
Don’t know where,
Don’t know when
But I know we’ll meet again some sunny day

We’ll meet again,
Don’t know where
Don’t know when.
But I know we’ll meet again some sunny day.
Keep smiling through
Just like you always do,
‘Til the blue skies
Drive the dark clouds far away
So will you please say”Hello”
To the folks that I know.
Tell them it won’t be long.
They’ll be happy to know
That as you saw me go,
I was singin’ this song.

We’ll meet again,
Don’t know where,
Don’t know when
But I know we’ll meet again some sunny day

During cremation services, we commemorate the dearly departed through recital of poems, anecdotes and even stories which will always remind us of the great memories we have with our deceased loved ones.  We would also play funeral songs that are meaningful to the life of our loved one.

One particular song that hits the spot is the song entitled “We’ll Meet Again” sung by Vera Lynn, Johnny Cash and Rosemary Clooney. While there have been different renditions to this tune, this version is the most meaningful.  However, it still boils down to the message. The meaning of the song “We’ll Meet Again” sheds a positive light on losing a loved one.  When someone close to your heart passes away, it may often feel like the world stopped turning.  However, if you believe in the Divine, then you should never lose hope and carry on.  For when the time comes, you will see your loved one again.  It may not be on this life time However, if we are believers of the Divine, we still should have hope and should still carry on. For in time, we will meet our dearly departed loved ones in a place where there is no sorrow.
