In Loving Memory of Waltraud “Trudy” Koelbi
September 28, 1935 – July 23, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Waltraud (Trudy) Koelbli (nee Fingerle) on July 23, 2026 at Lisaard House in Cambridge Ontario at the age of 90. Born in Muhlacker Germany, she followed the love of her life, Hans, to start a life in Canada when she was 21 years old. Trudy lived a life focused on love, family and making sure everyone had a belly full of spaizle.
She will e forever loved and deeply missed by her son Robert Koelbli, her daughter Caroline Uba (Steve) and will always be “Busy Bee” to her grandsons Evan Uba (Alexa) and Eric Uba (Olivia)
She loved seeing the antics of her furry great granddogs, Heidi, Heinz, Frank and Rosie.
Trudy was predecessor by her parents Eugen and Elsa.
Bizzy Bee found true joy in the simple things in life. She loved nature, gardening and watching soccer and hockey. She never missed a marathon day with Rob and watched every hockey game Evan and Eric played. She loved the busy schedule of the hockey seasons.
Trudy was especially proud of her 5 first place finishes at the Laurier Loop 5k race.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital Medical Unit and Lisaard House for the compassionate care they provided to Trudy and us.
At Trudy’s request cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
As expressions of sympathy donations made to Lisaard House would be greatly appreciated by the family.
