Walsh, Nora Mary Catherine(nee La Bine)

In loving memory of Nora who passed away Friday, May 8th, 2020 in her 95th year at Norview Lodge in Simcoe with family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Edgar Walsh (2006). Loving mother of Brian (Linda)of Revelstoke British Columbia and  Noreen (Terry Frazer) of Port Dover Ontario. Cherished grandmother of Kassandra (Myles Cruikshank), Jordan, Kristina (Matt Stewart), Kimberly, Leah, and Lisa. Dearest daughter of the late John Andrew and Nora (Horan)LaBine. Dear sister of  4 brothers John (pre deceased) wife Margaret (pre deceased), Paul (pre deceased) wife Nancy (pre deceased), Dennis (pre deceased) wife Marie, Leo (pre deceased) wife Rose-Mary (pre deceased).Her only sister Theresa (pre deceased) and her husband Ronald Truchon. Nora will be sadly missed by all her nieces and nephews.

 Nora was born in Haileybury, Ontario. She worked for the government in Ottawa until marrying Edgar in 1955 and moved to the Sudbury area settling in Onaping where they lived for over 50 years. Nora was a cherished long standing member of the Catholic women’s league.

Cremation has taken place, but funeral arrangements are to be entrusted to McGinty‘s  Funeral Home in North Bay, Ontario. A visitation and mass will take place at a later date as the COVID crisis allows. Internment will take place at the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic cemetery in North Bay following the funeral.
