Born in Brantford and raised on a small family farm. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces and was proud of his time stationed in Egypt as well as guarding serval world dignitaries at the 76′ Olympics… so many great stories. An entrepreneur in the locker business and welder by trade he spent his last working years with Burford Home Hardware paint factory and truly loved his job.

His love for sports started with track and field to which he would often remind us that he was the fastest runner in Brantford in his prime. He loved hockey and loved his golf. Garnet was a dedicated coach for many soccer and hockey teams. Let’s go Wolfpack!

Garnet thought most people in this world are good, but he’ll forever be Damn Good!

In honor of Garnet, donations can be made to Operation Smile.

Cremation has taken place and a private gathering will be held.
