Timothy Russell Crooks

Timothy Russell Crooks was a caring husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, cousin and friend.  He left us suddenly and unexpectedly on April 24, 2022 at the age of 77.
Tim was born to Russell and Anita on March 4, 1945.  He grew-up in Chapleau and moved to southern Ontario as a young adult looking to carve out a new life of his own.  It is there he met his wife Mary with whom he had and raised three children: Paul (deceased), Jamie and Julie.
His key to happiness was finding pleasure in the simple things.  He was famous to family and friends for his dad jokes, which gave us hours of laughter, sometimes at him and sometimes with him, wondering how he could find something so silly so funny!
He was a devoted family man who spent most of his time outside of work creating lasting memories with his family.  He planned camping trips all over Canada and the US, to his hometown to visit relatives and to the cottage creating two decades of cherished memories for family and friends alike.
Tim will be honoured at a memorial service on May 2, 2022.  Visiting hours stat at 11 am followed by a prayer service at noon.  Services will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Cremation centre at 620 Governor’s Road East in Paris, Ontario.  Visitors are welcome to return home with the family for a light lunch and to spend additional time together.

Mr. . Crooks was a wonderful man and it was a pleasure to have known him. He could have been known as the King of the Dad jokes, super corny but he was always looking to make people smile. He was a true gentleman through and through and I cannot say I ever heard him say a bad word about anyone or anything. He loved his children very much and seemed to do anything for them. He was a stellar man that will be missed by all who knew him.
