Taylor, Lucy

It is with a heavy heart we share the news of the passing of our mother Lucy Taylor (nee Arendacky) who died peacefully with her daughters by her side on Saturday September 29th, 2018 at the William Osler Hospital in Brampton.

Mom left us in her 81st year, closing a chapter on a very full and adventure-filled life. Mom loved her family above all else, her home a gathering place across the decades, creating wonderful memories for those she loved, forever the epitome of love and sacrifice.

Loving Mother to daughters Brenda, Susan and Anne (Jim).
Lucy will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Jeremy, Jennifer (Dan), Christopher (Peggy), Kyle (Anika) and great-grandson Callen. Sister to Judy Watters and sister-in-law to Sharon Arendacky. Predeceased by sister Mary and brothers John, Joe and Jerry Arendacky and granddaughter Caitlin. Lucy was loved by many nieces and nephews that she adored. Originally from Fort Erie, Ontario, Lucy had a 44 year career with the Royal Bank and volunteered at the William Osler Hospital for 15 years.  Her special neighbours loved and made Lucy an extended family member and we acknowledge and thank those who touched her life.  Lucy will be missed by all.

Everything we are you helped us to be. Thank you for always being there for us. There are no words to express the amount of love, gratitude and respect we have for you. We love you and thank you.

Although we cannot hear her voice or see her smile no more, our Mother walks beside us still just as she did before. We’ll feel the love she has for us, we’ll hear it in our heart. She’s left her human body but our souls will never part.

To celebrate Lucy, we invite you to an open house at her home on Sunday October 14, 2018 between the hours of 1-4pm.  In her memory, contributions can be made to Diabetes Canada at https://www.diabetes.ca/donate or 1400-522 University Avenue
