SPILKER, NORMA ELIZABETH

Peacefully on January 8, 2012 at Eatonville Care Center in Toronto . Norma  was a beautiful, warm and gracious woman.  She was devoted to all she loved as a wife, mother, sister and daughter. In 1942, she married Frederick Joseph Spilker having two children. Frederick was originally from Shelburne but moved to Toronto to work  for Ostrander Jewellers.  Norma worked as a dental assistant across the street where Frederick became enthralled with this mysterious and attractive woman.  He would patiently watch and wait for Norma until he mustered up the courage to ask her out and the rest is matrimonial history. Norma was widowed too soon in 1977 but immersed herself at the Queensway General Hospital becoming an outstanding volunteer and presented with an award for making the tuck shop a top revenue generator. Greatly missed by Daughter-In-Law Trish and son Rick. Friends may call at St. Johns Dixie Visitation and funeral centre, 737 Dundas St. E, Mississauga. (Dundas & Cawthra) on Friday January 13, 2012 from 11-12 Noon. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon with cremation to follow

Hi Rick, I am late in sending you my condolences. The anniversary is quickly approaching so I am happy to have found you. I often wonder about you and the old gang at SBF. I found Greta and Bruce
but you were more difficult. I hope you and Trish are well and happy.
