February 1st , 1941 – March 15th 2024
On Friday March 15th Diane passed away with her loving family at her side after a long battle with heart disease. Survived by husband of 63 years Raymond, and loving mother to daughter Carol (Janet) and son Ron (Joanne). Sadly, she was predeceased by her son Don. Also survived by her sisters Lorene and Sandy and two grandchildren, Jon and Kelly. Diane loved gardening, baking, reading, and volunteering. However, her true strength was her kindness, compassion, and love of all people. She spent over 15 years volunteering at Mississauga Trillium hospital where she made a difference in the lives of every staff and patient she encountered. To know her was to love her. With her positive attitude and caring words, Diane always put others comfort and needs above her own.
Our family would like to thank all the staff at Avalon Care Centre in Orangeville who took care of her for the last 4 months. We are forever grateful for their unbelievable dedication and compassion.
There will be a visitation on Friday March 22 from 11am-12pm at St. John’s Dixie Sandalwood Chapel: 737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga, ON L4Y 2B5. This is followed by a gathering at the cemetery for burial at Glen Oaks Cemetery: 3164 Ninth Line Oakville ON L6H 7A8, with final words from Priest Steven Mackison.
