Thank you for your thoughts and prayers after my dad’s passing. I know he would have been moved by your kind words and your support. He was born in Holland and immigrated to Canada. Tom left behind an amazing life partner, Mieneke, son Dan and daugther in law Vanessa, grandkids Emmett & Hazel. He’s gone to heaven to join his son Harry who passed previously. He had a generous spirit, saw the value in things many did not and loved animals and nature. He had a twinkle in his eyes, a mischievous smile and curiosity that will be missed by many.
A private service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tom’s name may be made to the Bluebird Terrace (Long Term Care wing) at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre. The staff have been a tremendous support to my father and our family over the last three years. To make a donation online, visit www.sjlc.ca.
