Shroff, Yazdi Nariman

It is with great sadness that the family of Yazdi Nariman Shroff announce his passing after a short and unexpected illness, on September 25, 2018 at the William Osler Civic Hospital in Brampton at the age of 80.

Yazdi was born in Bombay, India and lived his early years in Bandra.  Yazdi graduated from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) with a degree in Mathematics and Science and throughout his life he continued to pursue advanced knowledge in computers and technology.

Yazdi followed his sister Rahabar to Toronto, Canada in 1968 where he met his former wife and lifelong friend, Donna.  Yazdi will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Lucy (Kevin) and Yazmin (Ian) and by his longtime companion Brenda. He is the cherished brother of Rahabar Parakh, uncle to James (Sheri) and great-uncle to Macy who all hold him close in their hearts.

Yazdi was considered the technical wizard for his family and friends and studied computer animation and completed his PC technician certificate in his later years.  His animated videos continue to be a source of joy for his family and friends.

A private family celebration of Yazdi’s life is planned. Donations if desired, can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.

Special thanks to the care from his Medical team at William Osler/Brampton Civic Hospital
