It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Shirley, in her 89th year.
Everything in moms life was about family or those she considered family. Shirley was a long time employee of Harding Carpets, then became a crossing guard for many years.
Shirley is predeceased by her husband, Jim (2015) and daughter, Susie (1972).
She is survived by sons Rick (Anna), Bruce (Sueanne) and Terry, as well as daughter Kathy (Colin, Shawn (2020), and bonus daughter Natalie
She had 7 grandkids, Jamie (Amanda), Melissa, Spike (Natasha), David (Shara), Sarah (Ryan), James (Sammie) and Christopher. 9 great grandkids who called her GG, Kylie (Griffin), Izzy (Daryl), Makayla (Noah), Alyssa, Tobias, Nylah, Dante, Lincoln and Lilith.
The whole family would like to thank Camilla who was there for mom until the end. You are a true friend. Also to Greg, words cannot express how much your friendship mean’t to mom over the last 20+ years. Your yearly visits were something she really looked forward to. We thank you even now, as you continue to help us any way you can.

Shirley, You were an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, gg and friend to so many. You will be sorely missed. I remember going to the civic center to watch the hockey games Sunday then coming to your house.e to play Penny ante poker. We had so much fun. I will miss our occasional phone calls. You are now soaring with the angels

When I first met Shirley on an online gaming site, I never thought at that moment that I was meeting the person that was going to be the most loving and caring friend that I have ever had. I was blessed to have Shirley in my life for 20 years. My visits to her in Canada are the most cherished memories I have. She was blessed to have such a loving and caring family. I miss my friend dearly, but I know that she will always be with me and helping me through my life.
