It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of our dear mother, Sharon Ann Arnold, aged 74, of Haldimand County, Ontario, on August 5, 2026.
Sharon was most proud of her children, Tanya and JJ, and her beloved grandsons, Eric and Michael. Being a mother and grandmother were her greatest treasures, and she poured her heart into her family with unwavering devotion.
She is predeceased by her parents, Lois Chrysler and Thomas Chrysler, and is survived by her three siblings, Teddy, Larry, and Susan. Sharon will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews, especially Dora and Andrea, with whom she shared a very special and enduring bond.
A loyal and loving friend, Sharon touched countless lives with her kindness, humour, and generosity. Her loss will be felt profoundly by those who cherished their relationships with her. She will be especially missed by her dear friend Betty, with whom she shared an extraordinary 73year friendship, and by her close friend Sandie, who will forever treasure their many adventures—whether grand or mundane. Sharon had a remarkable gift for taking people under her wing, lifting them up, and helping them shine.
Sharon will also be remembered fondly by many colleagues who became lifelong friends. She lived to serve others, whether in an office or a kitchen, always striving to help those around her grow, succeed, and feel valued.
Sharon’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and quiet strength. She leaves behind a community of people who are better for having known her.

A Celebration of Life in Sharon’s honour will be held in the Fall.

Sharon, a dear friend & wonderful neighbour who was always a supportive & dedicated friend. She worked so hard and was so strong – trails I alway admired in her. She taught me how to make jam – every July we’d go pick the berries in the morning & come back to her place & put up 80 jars of jam. She just amazed me – you could mention something & next thing you know she was on it. We were neighbours for over 20 years & our kids grew up together in the fields between our houses. She was an amazing cook & we spent many Christmas Eves at her place eating all kinds of delaines & her dessert platters were legendary. Every year she’d be by with one of those trays packed with all kinds of goodies (even after she moved). Our hearts & love go out to Tanya (Scott), Eric & Michael & JJ – she dearly loved her children & grandchildren. This is the Sharon I will carry in my heart & will miss her. I was fortune to have met Sharon 23 years ago when I first opened my clinic in Cayuga. I admired Sharon’s desire to help those in our community. When I was celebrating my 20years of business in the community Sharon offered to help me. She used her connections in the community to reach out to businesses, gathering donations for giveaways and baked hundreds of cookies with my logo added to hand out. Sharon was amazing at organizing all the contact information allowing me to post thank yous on my social media page. Its was all a success thanks to her hard work.
