It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Ryan Eric Warren Butler of Brantford, Ontario, on July 12, 2026, at the age of 47.
Born on June 20, 1979, Ryan will be remembered for his kind heart, fun-loving spirit, and the laughter he brought to everyone around him. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ryan was the loving Son of William and Carol Butler and will be sadly missed by his loving girlfriend, Tara Dunn. He was a cherished brother to Shane (Alicia), Chad (Nicole), and Andrea (Greg), and the fun and loving uncle to all of his nieces and nephews, as well as his great-nephew, all of whom brought him immense joy.
Ryan will also be greatly missed by his beloved fur babies, Lucy and Luna, who were a
constant source of love and companionship.
Ryan’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched. His kindness, sense of humor, and caring nature will never be forgotten.
At Ryan’s request, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share the many stories that made Ryan so special.
Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.

I still cant believe he’s gone.my best friends since grade school. There was noone else like him everyone loved him. We laughed so much. Best sense of humour huge heart. He got through a very horrible time in my life. I got hook on pain meds from my dr and tried to get off them. I was deathly ill for 12 days and he came over ever single day to help me get through it. By being a couch telling me to suck it up you’ll get through it and being a REAL best friend taking care of me. He got me through it with love and talking shit when i was slipping. I could go on for days talking about all the great memories. Love you RYAN “FOOTBALL” BUTLER. I NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT U BRO!!

I was very sorry to hear of Ryan’s passing.
I had the privilege of working with Ryan for many years at Patriot Forge, and during our shifts we shared many conversations and laughs. Ryan was always a kind and fun person who helped make even the longest shifts go by quickly. He was highly skilled at his job, took pride in his work, and was respected by those who worked alongside him.
Ryan will be greatly missed by his friends, colleagues, and all who had the opportunity to know him.
